Museum Box

Working on my Museum box for book arts it's sort of an African Safari theme. I am really excited about it. Will post pictures once its done.

Swedish Perfection (Sandra Backlund)

I was reminded of Sandra because a friend posted an amazing hand knit piece on my facebook of a ram, still not sure if its by Sandra or not but it looks like it. Sandra Backlund is a Swedish designer that I am obsessed with, her collections are insanely detailed sculptural and have amazing texture. Her knitwear is hand knit and sometimes stuffed. HEIDI goes to Africa But I am going to LA!!

I did it!! But I will not take all the credit myself! I want to thank everyone who has supported me and helped me!!! You know who you are, and of course AMBER SQUARED, for designing my logos and website!! I could have never done it without you!!! I feel so blessed today on my birthday to have so many awesome creative talented and inspiring people in my life!

the 90's birthday

So sorry for not putting anything cool up in a while. Once this week is over I am really going to get this blog together! It's my birthday this Sunday and I am going to celebrate 90's style at Debaser. Might dress like Kurt, ha, I think maybe I already do so won't be hard. Hope I am not becoming one of those old people hanging on to the style of from their youth. Anyway I got in the Static show at School and have been working my ass off to get everything together and fabulous! I will (hopefully) be meeting Natalie Rykiel!! Sonia Rykiels daughter and creative director of the brand!!! So excited she's one of my Idols and it sort of unreal!! xoxo

Today I am re rendering my "Heidi" project. I have always been jealous of how Egon paints his figures and his insanely beautiful line quality. Hoping some it it might seep in today. My teacher said my crouquis looked like a Japanese girl who loves her grandma, but that one I hadn't chosen looked like it was going more the route of Peter Jensen. I want Peter Jensen. So here I go.
